Before the Seattle City Attorney’s Office moved in Columbia Center, two of their departments were located at City Hall, and one department was housed at the Seattle Municipal Tower. Moving all three divisions of City Attorney’s into three full floors at Columbia Center was no small feat. Clear wayfinding and clever space planning were imperative with such a large tenant. With the addition of brightly colored accent walls (and coordinated carpets), department way-finding became much easier, and a sleek, modern café/lounge allowed these hard-working city employees a place to relax and enjoy the beautiful Seattle skyline.
I have worked with Jim Burgess and his organization for over 25 years in Seattle. Their collaborative team effort on all projects is great. They put the client’s needs first, and play a critical role in developing a business/office environment that suits the client.
We’ve worked with Burgess Design for more than a decade, and they are skilled at finding creative and beautiful solutions to meet our evolving design needs. [Their] expertise and ability to interpret our vision give us confidence in a successful and pleasing outcome, making any remodel experience an exciting endeavor.
I have worked with Burgess (Design) in varying capacities for over 20 years. In addition to great people, I’ve appreciated the design expertise they show for many of the projects we undertake as well as basic tenant improvement projects. They have also been an excellent building architect managing CAD drawings as well as BOMA. They provide an excellent service.
