Mercer Park was a single tenant building that had not been updated in many years. Our goal was to make a building that could be occupied by either a single user or transition it seamlessly into a multi-tenant situation. We also sought to introduce a responsive design solution that catered to the needs and culture of today’s modern workforce.   We were tasked with improving the public spaces of Mercer Park, such as the exterior, the lobby, and the fitness area, and designed with the concept to preserve and infuse the nature surrounding Mercer Island. A few key pieces in our design were an operable curtain wall to engage the outdoors on the first-floor lobby, an improved roof-top patio experience for building occupants, and a floor-to-ceiling custom mural in the lobby of the bridge that connects to Mercer Island.
