PEMCO Insurance is a state-of-the-art space that bridges the gap between “tech” amenities and a “traditional” work environment.  The project started with an examination of how the employees worked and how their new space could support those tasks. Design inspiration was pulled from the Pacific Northwest’s strong connection to the great outdoors, its close relationship to water, and Pemco’s ideal location on the western shore of Lake Union. The new space includes more meeting areas, both formal and informal, a state-of-the-art café and commercial kitchen, and a lounge area for gathering and relaxing that can also accommodate company meetings.
